After we reported yesterday that The Only Way Is Essex star, Lauren Goodger, is facing the possibility of being axed from the show after having her filming scheduled for this week cancelled, the reality star has responded to the claims via a TV interview.
Lauren Goodger made headlines yesterday after a drunken row on Sunday night ended up with her threatening to leave the show when filming of the salon owner kept getting pushed back.
The former girlfriend of Mark Wright hit out at show bosses, disgusted over her treatment, and ranting that she was the real star of the show and that if she wasn’t given the respect and treatment that she thought she deserved, then she would quit the show and go over to MTV with her sisters to form the British version of The Kardashians.
In response to these threats, which Goodger emphasised later on social networking site, Twitter, bosses of the show told her that she would not appear in last nights episode and that they would hold a make or break meeting to discuss whether she should be allowed to,and encouraged, to go ahead and quit.
Yesterday, Goodger gave a video interview to Exclusive TV, during which she discusses the situation loosely, saying: “There’ve been some issues which are currently being looked into while TOWIE‘s on a break, and that’s all I can say at the moment, unfortunately.”
She went on to add that she was still enjoying the show, commenting: “TOWIE‘s been good this series. I think it’s been more about being ‘independent, single Lauren’, having a bit of banter with the girls. There’s a bigger group of us now, which is nice to see.”
