TOWIE’s Maria Fowler in racist Twitter row, AGAIN!
For the umpteenth time this week, former The Only Way Is Essex star Maria Fowler and X Factor‘s Marcus Collins have been thrust into the limelight again over the war they began on Thursday, a row which is threatening to last longer than either career concerned at this rate.
As we reported on Friday, and then on Saturday, the pair had met at a Desperate Scousewives launch party and that after really not hitting it off well they began a war of words via social networking site, Twitter, during which Collins accused Fowler of being a “homophobic racist” (read original article here).
Fowler then took to Twitter again to publicly deny the allegations, as well as making some of her own, including one that Collins had spat in her hair. Then a representative of Fowler’s publicly denied the claims too, insisting that her client was neither racist or homophobic, points she could prove by the facts that Fowler had attended the party where this whole sorry tale began accompanied by four gay friends, and the fact that she had been spotted on holiday the week before kissing a mixed race footballer (read original article here).
We have to admit, at this point, Fowler was looking like the winner of the battle, if not the war, especially when the next morning, Collins went on to the site to remove several of his drunken tweets from the night before with regards to the row.
However, Fowler has well and truly shot herself in the foot, by publicly proving Collins right, well half right anyway, by saying that she had slept with a “half breed”.
Following all the hype over the weekend about the war with Collins, Fowler found herself recorded outside a party in Liverpool, talking about her relationship with Liverpool FC player, Nathan Eccleston saying: “How am I a racist? I banged a half-breed last week.”
And of course, the former reality star took straight to the internet again to defend her actions, although this time she didn’t deny anything, but instead apologised, saying: “The term half-breed wasn’t meant in a derogatory manner. If I’ve offended anyone, I sincerely apologise. I’m not racist.”
