Trinny and Susannah Undress The Nation: Bring Back Colour!

Trinny and Susannah have a passion for colour, but it is a passion the rest of the nation appears not to share.

Embarking on a mission to champion colour, the girls aim to dispel the myth that black is slimming, devise a set of colour rules that the whole nation can follow and launch a campaign to bring colour back to the streets of Britain.

Beginning their campaign in the heart of London, Trinny and Susannah meet women from all over Britain who have journeyed to their famous pink pod to address their colour phobia.

Inspired by one of the worst offenders they meet in the pod, 31-year-old Natalie, Trinny and Susannah travel to her home in Essex to take their campaign to the suburbs.

“It’s got to the extent now where I go to shops and I’ve even been known to go home and dye items of clothes to be black,” says Natalie.

With the extent of the task ahead becoming clearer, Trinny and Susannah decide that if they can get the worst die hard black addicts they’ve met to change their ways, they will inspire the rest of the nation.

Tackling head-on the nation’s belief that black is slimming, Trinny and Susannah devise a series of tests to work out whether colour affects how we judge weight, size and age – with shocking results.

Next the girls take the challenge further, setting out to prove that the right colours are out there for everyone, and to find out what they are.

Flicking through old photographs, Trinny and Susannah take a look back over their past colour failures before having a makeover of their own to show how hair, make-up and complexion effect what colours look best.

“There is a world of colour open to everyone,” says Susannah, “you’ve just got to choose the right tones.”

Having learnt the fundamentals of colour at Trinny and Susannah’s ‘Colour clinic’ the potential converts are sent on a shopping trip armed with their own personal colour pallet – but can they stick to Trinny and Susannah’s colourful rules or will they fade to black?

I love Trinny and Susannah’s crusade. I’m from Argentina, where women are supposed to be very elegant, but the truth is that most of us, I mean, ordinary women, have little or no connection with what we really want to wear or with what kind of clothes are best to make us feel well. Their show and their philosophy are of great help!
