It seems that the actor who became famous with movies such as Home Alone and its sequels will now be entering the Celebrity Big Brother House in a bid to revive his career.

It is reported that the star was picked for the show because of his troubled childhood and links with Michael Jackson.

A source at Channel 4 told the Daily Star: “This is a great coup for us. And because of his friendship with Michael Jackson, you’re almost getting two for the price of one.

“We were desperate to bag Macaulay because we want some big name Americans who will be controversial and have a chequered history.

“And he fits the bill nicely because so much has happened to him in his young life.

“But more importantly he has been privy to Jacko’s private world at Neverland.”
