X Factor 2012: Dannii Minogue turned down X Factor job as she is getting back together with Kris Smith?
Ohhh, the plot thickens!
According to the Daily Mail newspaper, the reason that former X Factor judge, Dannii Minogue, turned down the offer of her old job on the hit ITV talent show is because she is trying to sort things out with her ex boyfriend, and father of her young son, Kris Smith.
A friend told The Daily Star Sunday: “Dannii and Kris are working on the relationship in the hope of getting back together.
“They have both acknowledged they still love each other but know they have a lot of work to do before being one happy family again.
“‘Dannii is committed to putting her family first. Since becoming a mum her priorities have changed.”
Since the couple split in April this year, model Kris admitted how hard it’s been for them on Australian breakfast show The Circle, saying: “It’s a struggle, but you know we’re the best of friends and we have a massive mutual respect for one another.”
Minogue’s decision not to return left the show in utter chaos without a fourth judge, and show bosses were forced to bring in a string of guest judges to fill in when the auditions began a few weeks ago, including Geri Halliwell (who was so sure she would get the job full-time had all but taken out an ad in the tabloids, oh wait, she kind of did!), Rita Ora and Nicole Scherzinger.
Of course we understand that if this couple’s ’issues’ are to be solved effectively, then a clean break, from the man and rumours that helped destroy it in the first place, is completely necessary, but still the rumour mill is still churning out an expectation for Minogue to return to the show once it reaches the judges houses stage of the competition, after her Australia’s Got Talent commitments end.
