X Factor 2012: Ella Henderson to make comeback at National Television Awards
Former The X Factor star Ella Henderson is to make a comeback tomorrow night by performing live at the National Television Awards.
The 17-year-old singer made a shock exit from The X Factor last year when she was voted out of the competition prematurely but she is to return to the limelight by taking to the stage at London’s prestigious O2 Arena this week.
Ella is to wow the audience of television executives and stars by singing her own arrangement of Cher’s Believe, which she also performed during the boot camp stage of The X Factor last year.
The aspiring pop star left fans stunned when she left the show in episode seven last year but her performance at the National Television Awards may not feel that difference to The X Factor as programme presenter Dermot O’Leary is hosting the event.
Ella recently won a record deal with Sony Music, the parent company of Simon Cowell’s Syco Music, despite not triumphing in the competition.
After signing her recording contract, Ella said in a statement: “I’m just so, so excited to go into a studio and finally do what I’ve always wanted to do.
“I have already written stuff, but I can’t wait to write new stuff because I haven’t written all through the period of being on that show and I’ve experienced so much and so many emotions that I never felt before so, it’s gonna (sic) be really exciting.”
The National Television Awards will air in the UK this Wednesday on ITV at 7.30pm.
