X Factor 2012: Gary Barlow has been nominated for Music Industry Trusts Award
When Take That split up back in the 90′s I don’t think anyone would have foreseen the massive comeback made not just by the band, but by their front man, Gary Barlow.
Not only did the boy-band make quite possibly the biggest re-launch of their pop careers in boy-band history, but Barlow went on to be made head judge on ITV hit talent show, The X Factor, and then to head the celebrations of this years Diamond Jubilee for the Queen.
And now the singer/songwriter/producer can feel he has ticked another box on his extensive celebrity to-do-list as he has been nominated for one of the most prestigious awards the music industry has to offer!
The award, the Music Industry Trust Award, is chosen by some of the biggest names in the business, including musicians and record label bosses, and Gazza has been nominated for the acclaimed prize in this years ceremony.
Previous winners of the award include the likes of Jools Holland, Sir Elton John and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber as well as Barlow’s talent show rival head judge, The Voice’s Sir Tom Jones.
With the recurring three letters appearing on most of the recipients of this prize being SIR this may take Barlow a step closer to being on the next honours list after all his work with both the Jubilee celebrations and his extensive charity work for Children In Need and other such organisations!
And despite all this hustle of activity the talented pianist has been engulfed with, he has still found the time to add to the impressive list of artists currently represented by his own record label, with Sierra Leone native singer, A*M*E, who has just been touring the country with Jessie J, being his latest recruit!
