X Factor 2012: Hear former Nu Vibe singer Bradley Johnson’s new single (VIDEO)

Fans of X Factor will most likely recall singer Bradley Johnson, who, along with other X Factor hopefuls Richard Milford, Stefan Romer, Jordan Higo and Ashford Campbell, were put together by judge Tulisa to form boy band Nu Vibe during the 2011 Boot Camp…

However, Nu Vibe left the contest early on in the live rounds, and since then, Bradley has split from the group to once again pursue a solo career. His debut single, Boomerang, has gone on sale today, and we have a look at the track’s official video after the jump.

First though, in an interview with the Livepool Echo, Bradley said, “I enjoyed being in Nu Vibe but I really wanted to be a solo artist.

“I was speaking to a guy at a party who saw my X Factor audition and he gave me his card and I got offered a record deal…

“I was truthful with the boys when Ashford left, my heart was always set on going solo.”

17-year-old Bradley is now signed to Ingeny Music and is hoping to “fill a gap in the UK market.”

He said, “They put a contract in front of me and said they want me to be a credible artist.

“America has got someone like Justin Bieber and I’m a young teenager but they don’t want to go down that route.

“It feels good to be stood on stage on my own.

“I think because we weren’t successful enough to carry on as a band we’ve all gone off and done our own thing. It was meant to happen.

“Now I’ve got a three-year album deal and I’m going to be singing in front of thousands of people at Stoke 2012 Live.

“I’ve been performing up and down the country these last six months. I’ve had a lot of support.

“They showed my audition on X Factor. I had more airtime so I had more Twitter followers than the other Nu Vibe boys.

“People had already taken a liking to me as a solo artist.”

Here’s Bradley’s track and video; let us know what you think of it.
