X Factor 2012: Judge’s mentor, Sinitta to make a pop comeback (sorry to break the bad news!)
It would seem that 80′s one hit wonder, Sinitta, has finally given hope that her ex-boyfriend, Simon Cowell, will reinvent her and resurrect her far from fabulous singing career, and is threatening to make a come-back all by herself, according to the Daily Star newspaper.
Sinitta, who dated the music mogul back in the day of yester-year, has made a regular appearance on his popular ITV talent show, The X Factor, as a mentor to both him and Louis Walsh, but has spoken out recently about how she was disappointed at continually being passed up for any of the many vacant X Factor judging positions, both in the UK and the US versions.
The So Macho singers career comeback was looking hopeful for a while there when she was due to duet with hit sensations, Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan at the Hyde Park Hitfactory gig, but was left with a feeling of anti-climax after the concert was cancelled due to bad weather.
Despite this set back the former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here contestant (possibly the most annoying one to date we would like to add) found the encouragement (if you know from whom then let us know so we can name and shame them for such an act of treachery) and has decided that instead of waiting for another staff turn around at camp X Factor, she will just relaunch herself the good old-fashioned way.
She is not planning to do it completely alone though, as it would seem that despite Cowell’s obvious reluctance to further her career, she intends to fly to LA to beg him to let her perform on one of the X Factor live shows (lets just hope if he says yes its on the US version!)
Talking at the Proud To Be British launch at Imitate Modern, Sinitta, 43, said: “When I got the call to say the gig was cancelled I was so depressed.
“I had been really excited about performing and it has made me want to get back in the studio,” she commented.
“So I’m going to record a couple of songs and see what happens. Hopefully I will be able to release an album next year.
“I’m heading out to LA to see Simon.
“I don’t know if Simon will let me on X Factor.”
With regards to the Hitfactory gig, Sinitta is in the process to get the concert, organised to mark iconic music manager, Pete Waterman’s 25th business anniversary, back on track (of course she is), and added: “I spoke to Pete and a couple of the others and we’re all devastated, but we want to arrange another date.”
For those of you who think we have been too harsh, here is a reminder of what is in store if she is given a mic again!
