X Factor 2012: Simon Cowell tells new judge Nicole Scherzinger “Do NOT disappoint me!”

As fans of The X Factor USA may recall, when the show debuted last year, judge Nicole Scherzinger copped a good deal of flack when she eliminated precocious child singer Rachel Crow…

Nicole was of course subsequently dropped from the judging panel, but has since landed the role of fourth judge on X Factor UK.

However, according to Star magazine, X Factor boss Simon Cowell has issued her with a stark warning, saying, “Do NOT disappoint me!”

A show insider said of Simon’s harsh words to Nicole – who is of course replacing Kelly Rowland on the X Factor UK panel – “Simon is taking a big risk bringing Nicole back…

“After all, she didn’t work out on the US show. He’s told her that this is her last chance and that she had better not disappoint him!”

But the insider also claimed that Simon thinks Nicole will be better suited to the UK version, saying, “Simon felt that Nicole was always more comfortable and relaxed on the UK show.

“She gets on well with the other judges and – as she always likes to remind Simon – it was her that helped find One Direction.”

Personally, I felt Nicole was treated way too harshly over Rachel’s elimination. She wasn’t the only judge to decide against keeping her in the contest, and frankly, she just wasn’t as good as the other finalists.

Did you think it was unfair to point the finger at Nicole over it?

A x factor judge should be made to vote one acts of they decided EG sharon osborne refused to vote one her acts off in 2006 and 2010 Cheryl also refused to vote out one of her acts Noicle heself refused to vote in my view broke show rules should ov been sacked from the panel

Rachel getting the boot from the us x factor was hilarious, her face was priceless, she honestly thought she had more votes, Nicole voted for who she preferred which was her right, I hope she does well on our show, always been a fan but admit her judging style in the states was “unique”,

@Dan Carney: Scherzinger broke the rules? Isn’t it making it to a “deadlock” is also part of the show? Marcus Canty is clearly a talented act and it is SO unfair to tell that Scherzinger should’ve picked him out just because he’s been on bottom since the past weeks. We’re talking about talent here and for Canty and Crow being on the botton two is just so hard that’s why Scherzinger put it into deadlock. Hope people would open their mind.

Anyway, get over it. I was diappointed when Scherzinger decided to join this show once again. She should’ve kept her pride. Tsk.

Sarah Lynn you sound stupid. Both Paula and Simon voted to keep Rachel. Only L.A. Reid voted against her, and even he said he hated doing so, but wanted to stand by his performer. He never said he was doing it because Marcus was better. Now, personally I think he should have eleiminated Marcus because the judges were there to find the performer with the x-factor, and Marcus doesn’t have it over Rachel. However, I fully understand why he supported him. Given that, the majority voted to keep Rachel, and Nicole should have as well. I’m glad she’s off the US version because she’s a yellow-bellied coward. The UK can have her as far as we’re concerned because the less we see off her the better.
