X Factor 2012: Tulisa says Britney Spears is a ‘wild card’ for Simon Cowell!

X Factor UK judge, Tulisa Contostavlos has commented that she thinks Simon Cowell’s decision to make ‘fragile’ Britney Spears a judge on the US version of the show, X Factor USA.

According to Digital Spy, the N-Dubz singer, who is currently screening auditions in her second series in the job, has branded Britney, who has had a series of very public, shall we say episodes, as a “wild Card”.

Speaking on Capital FM, Contostavlos, who is no stranger herself to a bit of controversy having had a sex tape leaked as well as being the cause of an Ofcom investigation for flashing an advertising tattoo during last years X Factor live finals, has revealed that she believes hiring Britney – who has to have her fiancée with her at all times as he had been granted legal ownership of the stars affairs – as a judge is still to deem her sane enough to take care of  them herself, is a risky move.

The X Factor UK judge explained: “I mean she is [one of the biggest stars] but I think it’s still a wild card because she is, I don’t know, a bit of a rebel.”

Since joining the X Factor USA judging panel Spears, who famously shaved her head during a nervous breakdown after her divorce, which led to having her kids taken off her, has already walked out of the auditions three times, holding up filming and delaying schedules – so maybe Tulisa has a point!

Britney Spears, who shot to fame as a teenager in the 90′s, joined the cast after being offered a whopping multi-million dollar deal to fill one of the judging places left vacant after the sacking of Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul at the end of the last series, along with Demi Lovato and original judges Cowell and LA Reid.
