X Factor 2013: Simon Cowell ‘wants Kate Moss as show stylist’
Simon Cowell reportedly wants supermodel Kate Moss to join the X Factor team in a bid to make the contestants more stylish next year.
The music mogul, who is an executive producer on the show, is said to be planning a big shake up for the next series to win back viewers after ratings dropped this year.
A source told the Daily Mirror: “Simon is looking at ways of refreshing the show and one idea he will bring to the table is getting Kate Moss on board.
“He knows how important the styling of the contestants is and having a supermodel and a world-famous name on board would certainly raise the bar.
“Kate could give the contestants advice and ideas on how they want to look and also how to look after themselves and still look great in the years ahead.”
Simon is currently on holiday for Christmas and New Year but is due to meet fellow X Factor executive producer Richard Holloway early in January to discuss how best to spice up the next season of the programme.
However, a spokesperson for Simon told the publication that “no firm plans had been made” about approaching Kate for the show.
Rumours surrounding the exact changes due to take place next year have already begun to circulate.
It alleged former show judges Dannii Minogue and Sharon Osbourne were once again offered a place on the panel but it is thought Dannii is unable to appear after accepting a job as a panellist on Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model.
Speculation has also mounted with regards to the security of Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos’ X Factor jobs but a spokesperson for Tulisa recently claimed any future departure from the show for the singer is just a rumour at this stage.
