X Factor contestants: “Jedward get preferential treatment”
The Daily Mirror reports that some of the X Factor contestants have complained that John and Edward are getting “preferential treatment.”
Among the complaints are that the twins are being given more rehearsal time and “the best slots” on the live shows.
And for last night’s Ghostbusters Theme that the controversial twins sang, apparently choreographer Brian Friedman spent more time with the boys than with the other acts.
However, X Factor insiders have strongly denied the rumours and say that all the acts are treated fairly.
On the subject of the twins’ huge fan base, mentor Louis Walsh told the paper, “Simon should throw in the towel now. They are the only act everyone is talking about.”
And he’s not wrong; it seems for as many people who dislike the act, there are as many who’re backing them to win.
Edward told the paper, “We are bathing in it [fan mail]. There’s mail from Norway, Sweden and Hong Kong, literally everywhere.”
I’m still on the fence about Jedward… I don’t dislike them as people but they can’t sing. And after all, it is a singing talent show and as one of our readers pointed out in a comment yesterday, the boys might have been better placed on Britain’s Got Talent.
However, time will tell of course. I do think it’d be a travesty if they won though! What say you?

I don’t see what the attraction about them is… they can’t sing, dance or even entertain very well,and not even funny, they are just like 2 string puppets… go down well on Kids TV!.
Shame the other TALENTED contestants especially Danyl don,t get the same good media attention that they deserve.
If they win it will prove that it’s all fixed, they have no talent whatsoever, and are just chancing their arm after that eogan geezer got as far as he did last year.
Louie only backed them cos they’re Irish, one minute he said the show is about having fun, after their poor performance, then after a performance by someone else which was 50 times better, he said it’s about finding a pop singer! Louie should be told what the show is actually about and get rid of “DEADWOOD” because that’s all they are! give the people with real talent and dreams a fair chance, it’s about time the show got serious and got rid of the acts that don’t belong.
If it wasn’t fixed, how come of all the acts that have been so much better “DEADWOOD” have NEVER been in the final two????

i wish john and edward would go. anyone could go up there and do a show like they do. they cant sing, they cant dance, there just 2 boys prancing around bringing no skills to the stage.
i think ill apply next year with a friend and just act like a fool, and we’ll probably win.
its all about ratings and money…its getting worse every year.
Louis the only reason people are talking about them is because they cannot sing not because they are good. According to the paper today their set yesterday cost £50,000 how ridiculous to spend that to cover up the fact they cannot sing.
X-Factor this year has become ridiculous and Simon has lost his credibility by keep taking it to deadlock instead of doing his job. Simon is just trying to get rid of the girls as they are his competition, you cannot one night tell Lucie how good she was and week after week complain about the twins then save the twins and expect anyone to respect your opinions.
Cowell has always said how much he hated them, but tonight he went to the public vote, when he had the perfect opportunity to get rid of them. THE WHOLE THING IS A FIX!!!
Cowell is not bothered about the acts, all he is bothered about is profits.

I would love for there to be an independant audit of all the votes cast. I can’t believe that Tweedle Dumb, and Tweedle Dumber are getting enough votes to keep them in the contest.
simon cowell said tonight we’ll forget all the bad performances in the past and base the vote on tonights performance, then he went totally against what he’d said, slagged them both off and put it to deadlock! why can’t these dumbasses either do the show fairly or walk away, they’re messing with pepoles lives, feelings and emotions.
I think there should be an independant inquiry into the show and the votes to make sure it has been all above board, because people are paying for their votes and if they’re being manipulated it’s illegal!
why not let them win. after all look at all the singers through out the years. simon cowells zig and zag and teletubbies and robson and jerome. mr blobby. rolf harris. pinky and perky. jive bunny. baha men.
Peoples drams are being shattered just so “SCOWELL” can make a fortune from a pair of mugs that are so stupid, that they think they’re brilliant entertainers! They should be thrown out simply because they are not dedicated, as Brian Friedman said “they don’t listen to instruction, their heads are always somewhere else!” probably up their own backsides! But all the other contestants are trying really hard, are dedicated to singing and for most of them singing is a means of escape or expressing their feelings and emotions.
I’d love to get up and sing, but I couldn’t do it in front of all those people, so I’ll stick to singing in the bath, but I admire those deserving talented singers who can do it. “DEADWOOD” should have also stuck to singing in the bath! Greedy “SCOWELL” (well it is his name isn’t it? and his nature.) deserves to get hit where it hurts him the most…. in his pocket, ( which is also the love of his life!)as for Louie, sticking his fingers up at the audience, what a disgusting display! many kids watch the show, and would be told off for doing that, so Louie not only sets a bad example to kids, but also insults the people that make him who he is.
Stuff the X factor, It’s about as honest, greedy and fixed as our government,go for a bath until it’s finished, just to knock the ratings down, it’d be funny to see cowell begging on the street. lol
