X Factor: Laura White Offered Record Deal
Outgoing X factor singer, Laura White has been offered her first record deal.
The Daily Record reports that three record companies are hoping to secure a deal with her.
Laura’s dad Adrian, 50, told the Daily Record: "Monday was very positive. She was contacted by two or three record companies who wanted to speak to her about a solo deal.
"It gave her such a lift. She had more meetings on Tuesday.
"One of the companies (is) very big. It’s discussion time at the moment but it sounds very, very positive."
Laura can’t enter into any deals until January but it is said that the record bosses are more than willing to wait for her.

If she released a song it would actually go to number 1 cause the whole country is behind her now, its so good!!
Am i the only one who thinks Laura is over rated? There have been injustices on X factor and other shows in the past and no one has created a fuss over it. Maria (X Factor) Lemar (Fame Academy)The public have had their say and shes out deal with it! As for Cheryl cole going ballistic i’m still wondering what she’s doing on the show. What qualifies her as a judge. I will never forget her attacking that poor toilet attendant.

Laura is NOT overated. She’s been singing in public since she was 15, she’s got a great live voice, can play piano and most importantly can write her own stuff. In the past other excellent singers like Brenda and Nikki(last year) were voted off by the judges far too early. I hope Laura gets a good record deal and brings out an album of great jazz singing and playing.
She won’t get a deal as she is not worth investing in record companies have millions of better artist on their books day in day out she will be in the bargain bucket
before you know it. Laura is the Nicky of the competition and Nicky has a better voice and personality and she was meant to have a deal and where is she now???
There is something about her that the public don’t like and thats why she was bottom last week and I have to say YES!! I do think she is very overrated Sorry! but I’m speaking the truth..
Sandy is not speaking the truth; by axiom, she is a moron – Laura’s voice is sublime.
Sandy is speaking the truth that’s why she said it and millions of people alike including Simon cowell and Louis W and that’s the reason that’s why Laura is out of the competition. So who’s the moron now Anthony??
From another fan who thinks Laura is not good enough to have a deal as I can never understand her when she sings, so along with Sandy and millions of other I think Laura is just not good enough.
oh please. Of course laura is brilliant…can you sing as good as her? her vocals is a 10…its just a case of peeps wanting her to stay and thought she was a sure contender to win, so forgot to vote/call or thought she would definately be in the final. I’m surrounded by singers, those who accompany stevie wonder and leading artists….her vocals are very stronger and can get better….for the sing off, she should have sang cry me a river…with passion…i think she was advised wrongly…but she is a raw talent…those who say she’s just average…cannot obviously hear her…issues with her confidence though but her and alexander were the favourites for me…great to chat with y’all take care
I actually know Maria Lawson and she has done well. She got signed up and has done lots of things, modelling and writing a book. Laura will do well as she has the ‘wow’ or ‘x’ factor when she sings…her vocals are very strong/powerful…Alexandra too. I do hope Rachel can mend her life with her 3 older kids.i respect what she’s trying to do…turn her life around for the better!
ugh totally overrated! her voice was grating and amywinehousey alexandra was always the best this year.
Any one going in for the X Factor is obviously not always going to be of the highest standard. As these are basically people trying there luck. They are trying there luck because they can’t manage as a vocalist or group within the regions.
You can not teach someone the equivalent of a lifetimes work and dedication to an art form. Singing. At best they are learning to just fit in with a great big wall of sound because take that away and the contestants have very little to offer the world of music.
Occassionally someone will have abitlities beyond the programme. Laura is one of those and I hope that for her sake that these contracts are not just wind in the willows.
