X Factor: Simon Cowell Defends Leona Lewis
X Factor judge and mentor, Simon Cowell, has spoke out against recent fix claims that have dogged the show.
Simon defended his artist, Leona Lewis, and claims that there is no plan to let her win the competition.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Simon said:
“These are innocent photos of a girl who wants to be successful,” he said.
“Over half of the contestants will have practised with vocal coaches before coming on the show, of course.”
Speaking about the two vocal coaches, he said: “They were vocal coaches on previous shows I’ve worked on, but they are not the vocal coaches on this series.”
“I don’t know who’s behind it, but these pictures keep appearing. It’s not fair. It’s jealousy. There has been innuendo and rumour and speculation around her since day one.”
“Someone out there doesn’t want Leona to win. Simple as that,” Cowell said.

He wouldnt have to if he’d been fair with all the acts including his own, he totally suppressed and destroyed any chance Ashley had of showing his real talent off.Rod.

I do actually Rah I just dont think she is as yet, the truly speacial ’star’ Simon and others are building her up as, She can sing,has great talent, I d never buy everything she did but even some performances she’s done on x factor I would, I feel and its not her fault, that she has had and gets special and extra special treatment over other acts and I dont think thats eair, You made a point elsewhere that Simon in the past had been mostly fair overall to other acts too in other x factors,i.e. Conways.That cannot be said of him this year and as he organises the show he should enact basic overall satndards and never build up 1 act even over his own other 3 to the total detriment of all others, but I do like Leona but she has a long way to go yet especially singing in the soft lower register.’summertime’ when she did that was brilliance.Rod,

Leona is good - but so is Ben…. Ray should be booted out as he should be in the West End
I would be happy if Leona won I think, because then Ben who is less of a ‘pop star’ can go and have more control over his career, whereas Leona fits the ‘pop star’ tag perfectly and is attractive and has enough talent to do really well under the control of the winners contract. Ben is not pop start material and therefore is most likely not to win.
