X Factor USA: Simon Cowell denies that Britney Spears stormed off in a strop! (VIDEO)

As we reported last week, on Britney Spears’ first day of judging the X Factor USA auditions, she walked out mid-session, apparently angered by a wannabe’s version of one of her own tracks.

However, Simon Cowell has denied that Britney stormed off and instead claims that she just needed a short break.

Speaking to TMZ, Cowell said, “I’m Simon Cowell, I’m on the panel. There have been no walk-offs on the show.”

Britney also denied she’s left the auditions in a strop, and later told the audience, “I love you! You made me feel right at home in that judge’s chair.”

Meanwhile, Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine has revealed that he thinks Britney’s going to find it tough going being a judge on the show.

The Sun’s TV Biz quotes Adam – who was of course a panelist in The Voice US and who’s singing live with his band on The Voice UK next weekend – as saying, “TV’s weird, Britney. Good luck.”

I can’t wait to see how Britney pans out on the show, and in that regard, hiring her was a masterstroke from Simon because of course any drama – such as storming off and other assorted unpredictability – will make great viewing!

Are you excited to see her on the panel?
