Yay! Adam Lambert assures fans a Tresspassing tour “will come”!
Fans of Adam Lambert will be pleased to know that following a Twitter campaign to get his latest album, Trespassing, on tour; the former American Idol star has now confirmed that there will indeed be one!
The fans, affectionately known as Glamberts, got together on Sunday to get the subject trending on the popular social networking site, Twitter, by repeatedly tweeting things like: “We Want Trespassing Tour,” with their aim being to get Adam to see it himself and answer the big question for them.
The trend was started by a Turkish fan posted a photo asking fans to take part in an “International TT Event with All Glamberts.” This image very quickly made the rounds on various fan sites and circles, resulting in a successful international tweeting campaign today.
The subject then reached the trending stage, and stayed on there for an impressive two hours, reaching as high as No4 on the worldwide trend list.
Lambert’s publicist, Shoshanna Stone, got wind of the campaign and tweeted, “Jeez the Glamberts are on a mission today! Is there something in the water?” And even Adam’s father Eber got in on the action, tweeting, “We Want Trespassing Tour. Retweet it!”
But it was Lambert himself who made Glamberts combined wish come true when we took to the social networking site himself to tweet:
“Have no fear, a Trespassing Tour WILL come. When the time is right,”
“Trust me Glamberts! I won’t let you down.”
Lambert has previously said in interviews that he hopes to have an official tour for his Trespassing album when the time is right. However, he is still currently promoting it by doing one-off shows, having just finished a few concerts in the US and heads to Japan and Australia next to continue with the promotion.
