Shipwrecked 2007: Lorenzo Preecha Claims Show Is Rigged

Lorenzo Preecha demanded to be flown home from the Cook islands after only 3 weeks as he was convinced that Channel 4’s reality TV show Shipwrecked is rigged. He also believes that the shows producers have used fellow contestant Lucy Buchanan and pushed her into making racist comments in order to boost ratings.

He said: “I feel sorry for Lucy — she’s just a pawn in their game.

He added: “You have to do up to ten interviews a day and if producers aren’t happy with your answers they keep asking.

“You just say what they want to hear so you can end the interview.

“They’d have said to Lucy that she mustn’t know many black people, and prompted her in that way to come out with those comments.

Lucy’s a sweet, naive girl and she’s been used by the producers.

Lorenzo revealed that the more controversial a contestant, the more money they could make. Producers are offering a £15,000 prize for the most entertaining contestant, on top of the £70,000 the winning team will share.

That explains a lot!

When I was 18 years old I didnt know many eskimo’s or native american indians, but not such drivel about a group of people would come out of my mouth.

I sick to death of so called ignorant “sweet” white girls being called naive and misunderstood. They know their position in society is on top and speak accordingly.

These girls know the press love them and if I am honest so do a significant amount of the UK public, not for their personality , but they symbolise some sort of white supremacy female. That will keep the race alive and not be tainetd by any “Bad” blood, from the inferior races.

They are as sweet and innocent as Hitler Youth.

    Yuk!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However the producers do set people up, but personal opinions and behaviour is there to start with.

The public should also need to take stock of who these producers are. They seem to be racial agitators and are doing more for racial unrest than Oswald Mosely.

oh come on! how much fuss is being made over this comment??!! she is just an 18-year-old girl from a very sheltered life, didn’t you make comments when you were 18 that you are mow ashamed or embarassed about??? this was just a passing comment that has been blown out of all proprtion. + how pathetic is our country that we care so much about what one 18 year old girl syas - haven’t we got more important things to be worrying about?? the war in iraq maybe?? world poverty?? get some perspective.

dawn you really articulated what i have felt but havn’t known how to say. i wouldn’t go as far as saying the whole bad blood thing but yeah they do represent what is viewed as ideal, white blonde and affluent and carefree and they are never truely held accountable for thier actions because of this. her age is no excuse she is an adult

well, C4 clearly put her in to stir up some controversy… they could have put someone on the island who was not of those views. i am sorry to read that lorenzo is not happy with the set-up. i expect it is rigged to some degree, they have to keep the teams pretty even so that you don’t know who is gonna win ’till the last show…

A reality tv programme using the contestants for their own means? That’s a bit of a revalation isn’t it? And I thought the TV producers just did reality TV out of the goodness of their own hearts…sure ;)

Grow up people, she was also racist towards the scottish but no-one seems to be complaining about that, is it because scottish people aren’t black?

by complaining about her comments towards black people and not scottish people you yourself are being racist, it might not be negative racism like everyone associates racism with but your still being racist by saying her comments towards black people are unacceptable but her comments towards scottish people are.

I want to apply to be the continuity girl on the next Shipwrecked because the one on there now is no good at all. When Jonno was still supposed to be making his choice of which island to stay on, he was seen in the water wearing a sharks necklace !!! Bit of a give away don’t you think. I know i could do much better than that. Love the show though.
