It has been confirmed that Prince’s friends and family are currently planning a massive four-day festival at his Paisley Park home this coming April.
The event, titled ‘Celebration 2017’ will take place on April 20, 2017, which marks the first anniversary of Prince’s tragic death. The festival will feature performances from Prince’s bands The Revolution and 3rdEyeGirl, along with longtime friend, Morris Day.
It’s thought that further names will be added to the line-up of the special event in the coming weeks, and we can’t wait to see how it shapes up. Further details about the festival such a timings, how to attend, or how to see the festival is being kept under wraps at the moment. However, it’s thought that further details will be announced in due course.
Since Prince sadly passed away earlier this year, in which he was found unconscious in an elevator in his home, there has already been a major tribute concert. The concert, which took place at the Xcel Energy Center, featured the likes of Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Tori Kelly, and Jessie J. Furthermore, the concert was opened with a special taped message from President Barack Obama.
A number of Prince’s friends and family were present for the celebration at the Excel Energy Centre when the concert took place.
More information about the festival will be released over the coming months.
