Rough Copy record deal, Loveable Rogues’ video & McBusted on One Direction
Rough Copy have announced that they have signed their first record deal!
The X Factor finalists who were mentored with Take That star Gary Barlow during the 2013 series of the ITV show took to Facebook to reveal the news and told fans that they have inked a deal with Epic and are already working on their debut material.
The band’s lead single will be titled ‘Street Love’ and is set to drop on June 29. The new record will be followed up by a UK tour.
Rough Copy told their Facebook fans:
“We are really proud to announce that Rough Copy have been signed to the Sony Label – Epic and have recorded their first single ‘Street Love’ which will released 29th June 2014.
“We’ve kept it ‘Sweet but Street!’. If you can’t wait that long then keep your eyes open for for the video edits that will be out soon.”
Fans of the band were elated by the news, especially since it looked like the band could be on shaky ground recently, after one member of the group got kicked off the X Factor tour following a row with Sam Callahan.
Meanwhile, fellow reality TV band Loveable Rogues have premiered the new video for their single ‘Honest’.
The record will contain four full songs including ‘Would I Lie to You?’, ‘Say You Love Me’ and ‘The Only One Who Knows’ and the EP will act as a follow up to 2013 single ‘What A Night’.
Fan reaction has been positive and tweets included:
“@LoveableRogues the video is amazing, can’t wait for everyone to see why I’ve spent more than 2 years supporting you😛 #LRHonestMusicVideo”
“I just just keep replaying @LoveableRogues honest video, loving the song! #honest”
“Honest is actually the most perfect song, i love it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPPHRwWlGQM&sns=tw … @LoveableRogues i love you.”

In other music news, McBusted have admitted that they wouldn’t be above taking advice from the younger lads of One Direction.
The Mc Fly and Busted singers have joined to form a boyband supergroup and are currently touring the UK. In an interview with The Mirror they admitted that they could learn a lot from Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
James Bourne said:
“I think [One Direction] could give us some advice on how to do well in the rest of the world…..It’s gone full circle, we’re going to Paris to open for them and they’re like whoa, McBusted!”
Tom Fletcher added: “I think it was Louis and Niall who told us that the first gig they ever went to was McFly supporting Busted.”
Harry Judd teased: “We’ve been Snapchatting Niall. We send abuse and he sends it back.”
McBusted announced last month that they had been booked to support One Direction when their Where We Are tour hits Paris on June 21.
