So You Think You Can Dance: Paolo Debernardi reads Arlene Phillips a poem!
Paolo Debernardi, will be seen on tonight’s So You Think You Can Dance, trying to win in the show’s final 20, by charming judge Arlene Phillips.
The 37 year old performer was born in Italy but now lives in York and in his VT revealed that he has been writing his own poems since 1991. With all that experience, you would think he would get a little better at it!
He claims that he is inspired by Michael Jackson and made a terrible attempt at the moonwalk, thankfully (or maybe not) when he took to the stage, he performed to ‘Footloose’ and not ‘Thriller’!
Phillips joined him on stage while he read his little ditty……it went something like this:
Thank You Arlene, I’m so honoured to be here,
In this amazing studio, meeting the judges, the crew,
This is wonderful, I hope I don’t blow it,
And put a smile on your face, with my moves and dancing,
Let’s go everyone, let”s dance!
Do you think Paolo can make the final 20? Somehow we don’t see it ourselves! However we have heard that he has also auditioned and got past the initial audition stage for Britain’s Got Talent, so we could be seeing a lot more of him this year!
So You Think You Can Dance returns to BBC One tonight at 7.10pm

i used to work with this tight bloke at Norwich Union in York. he wouldnt give a pound to staff birthdays and had the worst Body Odour you could imagine!
I have to say about the comments above, Paolo Debernardi has been through a divorce which lasted 3 and half years and worked three jobs as he had to pay mortgage and rent as his wife would not leave his property. Paolo Debernardi had been through so much in his life and one point of his life, he was almost homeless. He found strength to overcome every difficulty. He should be admired and supported.
