So You Think You Can Dance finalists Lizzie Gough and Tommy Franzén have signed up to appear in the world premiere of hip-hop show Blaze, which opens on March 11.

Writing on his new official website, Swedish dancer Franzén said: “There is one big very exciting thing coming up soon and that is the world premiere of a new hip-hop show called Blaze, which both me and Lizzie Gough will be starring in.

“I’m also going to choreograph a number and be the resident director. The other choreographers are Anthony van Laast, Mike Song, Kenny Wormald, Ryan Chappell, Chris Baldock and Lyle Beniga.

“The premiere will be on March 11 and will carry on until March 28 at Sadler’s Wells Peacock Theatre in London. Then it goes on tour in Holland and Belgium before it comes back in the autumn for a UK tour.”

He added: “Me and Lizzie start on Monday for rehearsals as we’ve missed two weeks of rehearsals already due to SYTYCD. We’ve got a lot to catch up on, but thankfully we are used to dance 10 to 13 hours a day at the moment so should be absolutely fine. Would be great to have all my fans to come down to watch this show as I think it’s going to be incredible.”
