Amanda Donohoe Blasts Arlene Phillips Sacking

Emmerdale star Amanda Donohoe has blasted the BBC’s decision to sack veteran choreographer Arlene Phillips.

News leaked this week that Arlene is being replaced on the Strictly Come Dancing panel by former winner, Alesha Dixon.

Speaking on This Morning, Amanda said: “Why not add another judge, sure.

“But to remove a woman of her experience is insulting to the audience.” The talent show is hosted by TV veteran Bruce Forsyth.

Amanda added: “If Brucie can do it until he’s 81, why such discrimination?”

Host Fern Britton, 51, backed Amanda and invited Arlene to appear on This Morning.

She said: “Hear, hear. Arlene, come and see us.”

    I think your comment here is on the wrong blogg.

    The BBC have it wrong on this one. Big mistake Amanda is right. Maybe Arlene wanted to leave though as she has so many irons in the fire all waiting to burn.
