Austin Healy has left Strictly Come Dancing and failed to make it through to the semi final of the show.

This has been a bit of a shocker as until this week Austin was one of those tipped to win the show, however last night he lost out on his ballroom number and ended up at the bottom of the leader board.

Austin ended up in the bottom two with Lisa Snowdon. I am surprised the judges saved Lisa as it is hardly the first time the public have put her in this position.

Healey spoke of his “amazing partner” Erin Boag after going out.

He also praised his wife, who he said had raised their four daughters alone whilst he was away working on Strictly, and thanked the programme for “giving me the chance to be in something so amazing”.
