BBC Will Not Be Axing Arlene Phillips Or Craig Revel Horwood
BBC bosses have rubbished claims by the Daily Mail that they are planning to sack two Strictly Come Dancing judges after the departure of John Sergeant.
“The BBC’s head honchos were furious that John Sergeant fell on his sword. He was the most enormous ratings winner and executives think the judges overstepped the mark,” a corporation source was quoted as telling the newspaper.
“Arlene and Craig have the axe hanging over them depending on how ratings do in the rest of the show over the next month.”
A BBC spokesperson said: “The story about the Strictly Come Dancing judges in today’s Daily Mail is a load of rubbish. The judges’ role in the show is to critique the contestants’ dancing and that is exactly what they have done in this series and every series before it.”

Sack the lot
Take the programme of the air, then re-form to a more sensible format.
Return the new show without the stupid endless repeats of rehersals and how the participants performed last week.
Divert more time to the stunning Pro-Dancers and their exibition performances.
The John Sargent fiasco is proof if any where ever needed, that the producers have lost the plot.
Do not bring any of the current judges back as they have all shown them selves up, with stupid often sexist comments, and always very silly over articulation, that has long since lost any of its wry humour, and is now just downright tedious.
My wife and I hope that a much better light entertainment show (After all that is mearly what it is)can be created in future – without the current silly judges.
