Bookies think Lisa Riley can make history on Strictly Come Dancing 2012
Lisa Riley could well become the biggest priced winner in the history of reality TV betting as William Hill slashed the odds of her winning Strictly Come Dancing this year to 14/1 from an original 66/1.
The former Emmerdale actress wowed on Saturday nights’ show and topped the judges leaderboard, after her amazingly entertaining yet technically brilliant dance with professional partner Robin Cousins.
She’s now went from being one of the outsiders in terms of betting odds, to becoming one of the bookies favourites, behind the likes of Louis Smith, Denise Van Outen and Kimberley Walsh.
“Lisa was a revelation on Saturday. It now seems that the training videos did her no justice whatsoever and we think she has a great chance of making reality TV history, defying the largest odds ever quoted to a potential winner,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
Johnny Ball is the 9/4 favourite to be the first contestant to get the boot at the weekend, closely followed by Richard Arnold at 5/2 and Jerry Hall who is 9/2.
