Poor Karen Hardy. She won last years show and even got to perform tonight with Mark, her partner from last year. But in this all new series of Strictly Come Dancing, Karen was paired with Brian, of the two left feet, Capron, and has ended up being the first to leave the ballroom extravaganza.

I didn’t expect much from Brian after last night’s wooden performance, so it was no shock to see him voted off the show tonight.

When told he was leaving, Brian said:

‘Its been absolutely fantastic, I’m sad that I’ve let Karen down, but I’ve enjoyed it so much.’

Karen added, ‘It’s always an honour to dance on Strictly Come Dancing, and dancing with Brian - I loved every second. I used to watch him as a teacher on Grange Hill, and never thought I’d end up being his teacher!’
