Fans of TV presenter Anthea Turner may be aware she suffers from dyslexia, and during an interview with Lorraine Kelly yesterday, she revealed that it’s affecting her Dancing On Ice training.

She explained, “I think my biggest problem has been – and we’ve spoken about it – I am dyslexic and dyslexics never know their right from their left.

“And I’ve had terrible trouble and the coaches are going bonkers at me going ‘Do you know your right from your left?’. ‘I do, just give me a moment on this and I’ll get it’.”

However, Anthea added, “Learning to skate has been fabulous. I’ve got bruises everywhere but learning to skate – amazing.”

She also revealed that a newly pert bottom has been an unexpected bonus to her training regime.

She said, “The toning of the body – ice skating – it’s skater bum, it’s amazing.

“I don’t care even if I crash out on Sunday, I have had three months of the best bum I’ve ever had since I was somewhere in my 20s.

“In fact, even in my 20s it probably wasn’t this good!”

Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing champ Louis Smith has revealed that he’d like to move on from his SCD triumph and try out for next year’s series of Dancing On Ice.

Speaking to TV Biz, Olympic gymnast Louis said, “I think Strictly, in terms of training, is much harder.

“We were doing eight or nine hours a day where the celebrities on Dancing On Ice are only allowed to do two I think.

“I think Dancing On Ice is more dangerous as the repercussions are much more severe.”

However, he added, “I would definitely do Dancing On Ice next year if they asked me.

“I used to be a really good skater.”
