We’ve expected it for weeks, in fact most people are surprised she lasted so long. But Saturday night saw Fiona Phillips and dance partner Brendan Cole being voted off Strictly Come Dancing 2005.

Fiona who was constantly criticised by the judges must be a glutton for punishment as in her first media interview since leaving she admitted “I’m really disappointed. I was just beginning to cotton on to dancing. I could have done it, I’ll miss it.” Though she admitted that “Brendan is gutted. He didn’t say very much.”

The good news is that Fiona dropped a dress size due to her rigorous dance rehearsals and says she is going to continue dancing to keep fit adding “My legs and arms are very toned.”
