Strictly Come Dancing bosses are reportedly trying to land celebrity couple Gary Lineker and Danielle Bux for this year’s series of the show.

Earlier this year the newlyweds shone on ITV’s All Star Mr & Mrs and in 2009 Danielle raised her profile on Marco Pierre White’s Hell’s Kitchen. She is also rumoured to have landed a presenting role on the new look GMTV and The Daily Mail reports that BBC bosses are keen to cash in on the couple’s joint popularity.

Producers are also said to have placed former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and Amy Winehouse on the wishlist for their upcoming series

A show source told The Sun: “It’s no secret last year’s line-up was pretty rubbish and viewers weren’t happy.

“This year we’re going for much bigger names.

“We’ve got more money to spend as things like Jonathan Ross’s expensive contract have come to an end.”
