Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh joining Jerry Hall, Nicky Byrne, Michael Vaughan & Steve Redgrave on Strictly Come Dancing 2012?
Kimberley Walsh has reportedly jumped at the chance to appear on this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The Girls Aloud star is said to be happy at the chance to boost her profile, on the popular BBC reality TV show and will be included in the lineup when the series launches next month.
Insiders say that she was keen to take part in the dance competition from her first meeting with channel bosses and one source told The Mirror:
“When we heard she was interested we were thrilled.
“Now everyone’s dying to see her moves. She’s a great name to have got.”
Of course Kimberley is no stranger to reality TV, having previously worked on The X factor with her pal and former judge Cheryl Cole. She also has plenty of dance experience, having performed dozen of routines during her time with Girls Aloud and then on the West End, when she took on the role of Princess Fiona in Shrek last year.
Other stars rumoured to be on the lineup for this year’s Strictly include Mick Jagger’s ex Jerry Hall, former Westlife singer Nicky Byrne, cricket star Michael Vaughan, TV presenter Fern Britton, former Olympic runner Sir Steve Redgrave, cyclist Victoria Pendleton, BBC Breakfast star Sian Williams and former EastEnders actress Sid Owen.
