Boxing champion Joe Calzaghe has been confirmed as one of the contestants on this years Strictly Come Dancing, however it seems that he wasn’t always a fan of the humble reality TV show.

In the clip above Joe is interviewed by presenter Kris Agland for a local Welsh online TV Channel. At 3:45 Joe is asked if he would ever compete in Strictly or a similar reality TV show. His response was:

‘No I am not doing any of that Shit, no way, nothing will get me doing anything like that I can promise you that. I have always said none of this reality TV stuff. If you ever see me on anything like that track me down and shoot me in the head’

Obviously the thought of an extra £50,000 in his pocket was too much to pass up, or maybe Joe is hoping to boost his profile so he can give up boxing and move into TV presenting. Do you think the boxing legend sold out? As always, leave your comments below.
