Laila Rouass may have just been eliminated from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing but she has been ordered back into rehearsals as bosses fear that Ali Bastian may not be able to perform this week.

Ali injured her ankle two weeks ago but after Saturday’s final had to keep her foot in an ice bucket for an hour as the pain became too much to bear.

Insiders now fear that Ali may be forced to pull out of this week’s semi final and have asked Laila and Anton to be ready to step in at the last minute if needed.

A source told The Sun: “Ali is still in pain. Because she is training so hard she hasn’t had time to recuperate, so one slight slip could force her out.

“If she pulls out there will not be enough for the semi-final so Laila is still training.”

The BBC’s Rick Behari said: “We have a number of contingencies in place in case anything happens to any of the remaining couples.”
