Len Goodman Denies Strictly Come Dancing 2008 Rumours!

Strictly Come Dancing 2007

Strictly Come Dancing judge, Len Goodman has denied that he plans to leave the show if the BBC doesn’t give him a substantial pay rise.

MSN have reported that Len insisted “it’s a pack of lies”, before joking: “Honestly, I’d rather part with my penis than give up Strictly Come Dancing!”

Len was attending a Celebrity football match at David Beckhams LA Galaxy football ground when he commented: “I don’t care, it’s just a load of nonsense really, people write what they want to write. At first I used to get all stressy but what does it matter?”

Fellow judge Bruno Tonioli also came to Len’s defense: “We never speak to the press. Len and I are the worst – we don’t even have publicists because we just do our job. The moment you’re in the public eye there is always speculation like this but it doesn’t come from us. From what I’m concerned I’m pretty sure he’s going to do the show.”

One Response to “Len Goodman Denies Strictly Come Dancing 2008 Rumours!”

  1. Peter Hurrell says:

Is Len Goodman the same “little Lenny” that I played with as a child around
the Coronation period of the fifties? My mum and dad (Bill & Flo Hurrell)
were friends with Len Goodman senior and Lenny’s mum whom I called Auntie Lou,
Len senior and Len junior attended a coronation street party held by my parents
in Queenswood Road, Blackfen, in 1953 when I was 7 and “little Lenny” was 8.
Although I had never seen Strictly Come Dancing until this Saturday, my sister
has been a big fan over the past few years, and it wasn’t until he recently
revealed that he had come from Blackfen in Sidcup that the penny dropped that
this has got to be our “little Lenny Goodman” When I saw him on “Strictly”
this Saturday, I knew straightaway it was our Lenny, the same cheeky little
chap I remember, and full of character. It is more than 50 years since we last
saw one and other, and played together, and I would love to get in contact again
especially as Aunt Lou is still alive at 91, I’m sure she would remember me,
and especially my mum, Flo Hurrell whom she was friends with. I would be very
grateful if you could give me a contact email or some way of contacting Len.
There is a nice little “happy ending” story regarding Len’s mum, which I
coincidentally was relating to my wife only two weeks ago, so you see I still
think about the Goodman’s, so what a really lovely surprise to see my little
playmate again after all this time. Many thanks for a contact address,
    Peter Hurrell
p.s. Apart from seeing Len….I can’t understand why I have never watched
strictly come dancing before…..I thoroughly enjoyed it.
