Strictly Come Dancing 2008: Watch This Tom Chambers Tap Dancing Video

Holby City star Tom Chambers has been signed up for this years Strictly Come Dancing series, but some people are wondering how he can compete as an amateur, when judging by the video above he is as good as some of the professional dancers.

However a source close to Tom told The Sun that he has no ballroom experience and only made the Fred Astaire video to drum up some new auditions for him before he landed the role in Holby.

“He is not a highly trained dancer.

“He really made this video out of desperation.

“He was an unemployed actor for six years, working as a lorry driver without a sniff of an audition.

“In a bid to make himself stand out in the crowd, he spent eight-and-a-half months studying the video of Fred Astaire.

“His friends helped him to film it and he sent it to every casting director.

“He got two responses and one was Holby.

“He will readily admit that he has rhythm and he did have lessons, but he has never learnt ballroom. He’s terrified!”

As far as myself and my partner,it was obvious on the first segment of this years Strictly Come Dancing, that the winner was bound to be Tom. there wasnt a girl that could surpass him, and Austin was the only male opposition. The judges, of which only one was a ballroom judge, really should realise that giving 10 doesnt leave much leeway,
Len should not give 10 if he has voiced a criticism,he & Craig really should not give poor marks as a critic of the routine, that is the fault of the professional.
Tom had extra little something, in that he exuded such joy in his routines.
Bravo Tom, I wish I had his e-mail address, so that I could congratulate him personally, if he does his routine, and the tap dancing sequence he will bring the house down, and I should like to be there to see it.
