Alesha Dixon has confirmed that she will be on the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel this year, quashing rumours that Arlene Phillips will be back.

Alesha told The Sunday People:

“The BBC said they would like me to stay on, so I said yes. I’m very much looking forward to it.”

The BBC said: “Alesha did a great job. We’re thrilled she will be back.”

Alesha promised: “This time my comments will be a lot more controversial.”
