Holby City star Patsy Kensit has revealed that she is not expecting to impress anyone when she performs her first Strictly Come Dancing routine.

The actress and her fellow celebrity contetsants recorded the Strictly launch show last night and in an interview with Chris Moyles just hours before the session, Patsy revealed that she still dances ‘like an elephant.’

She said:

“We’ve got this big group dance, which we record tonight. It’s like a cha cha cha.”

“It’s going to be entertainment because I’m like an elephant thundering across.

“I’m elbowing people, I’ve trod on Anton and Brendon’s feet. I’m terrible.

“We’ve been training for this show for only two days… I’m going to make an idiot of myself.”

On the new set for the BBC dance extravaganza, Patsy added:

“The set is incredible.

“I’m pretty jaded about sets because I see EastEnders and Holby at work every day. I thought it would be a poky little dancefloor. But is is huge!

“Huge for me to be thundering across. They need to wear steel-capped boots on the front row.”

Patsy previously revealed that she is hoping to shed a few pounds during her time on the show and added that she will not be embarking on a romance with her professional partner.
