Strictly Come Dancing 2011: Bosses axe James and Ola Jordan by email!
James and Ola Jordan are reportedly furious, after BBC bosses informed them that they would not be needed for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing tour….by email!
The pair are fan favourites on the weekend dance extravaganza, but bosses have axed them from the nationwide tour, without giving them an adequate explanation on why the decision was made.
James revealed the news on Twitter yesterday and it was clear that he is less than happy with the way the matter was handled. He wrote:
“Myself and Ola will definitely NOT be doing the Strictly Tour! Just received an E-MAIL to say we are not needed!!”
It means that Ola will not be dancing with her partner from this year’s series Robbie Savage, though in fairness, he didn’t seem too upset by the news. He tweeted:
“Ola was the best partner ever but… no one is bigger than the show!”
It is thought that BBC bosses are snubbing James and his wife, after a series of on screen rows between him and the show judges.
A few weeks ago, after Len Goodman criticised a routine performed by Jordan and his partner, One Show host Alex Jones, James told Tess Daly:
“It would be nice if the judges stopped commenting on our choreography, because we have been in the business a long, long time. We know what we are doing.”
Later that evening, when Len was critical of Brendan Cole and Lulu’s performance, James shouted down: “Whatever”.
Len replied: “All you have to do is turn up, keep up and shut up.”
Insiders have insinuated that Ola and James are being punished, because of his outspoken nature but it leaves us wondering if they will be back next year. Would you turn into Strictly if it didn’t feature James’ sexy six pack and Ola’s revealing catsuits? Leave your comments below.

carnt belive it, BBC are crap ola& James are a great dance couple and to be treated like naughty children is in unacceptable,I will be writing to the BBC its disgusting how they have been treated,so the dancers are not allowed an opinion then!!
BBC……BEWARE!
It appears you have been taking lessons from ITV (X-Factor) and if you continue you will go the same way.
Ola is one of Stricty’s main attractions.
You also managed to totally destroy what was potentially a most beautiful, sentimental moment when the Military Wives sang and Vincent and Flavia danced, with your obsessive need to make the audience cheer and holler.
Someone in your production department is CRASS and that is where you should be looking if you need to axe anyone.
We totally agree with these comments. The wives deserved a lot more. With all the noise you could not hear them singing. As for axing James and Ola this is stupid Its due to the hard work that these dancers do that turns their partners into dancers and makes the program.
If the Judges had been doing their jobs you would not have had the likes of Russell Grant being kept in and good dancers going out. The Judges should not have favorites and they should certainly not voice it
Unbelievable. The show has become a farce and I think in danger of losing viewers because the format is so bad. JJ’s comments were justified as the judge’s have become more insulting to inexperienced contestants. Audiences whooping & whistling at every move. Whizzy camera work when we need to see feet. Its becoming a personality contest not a dancing show. BBC should learn from the American shows which are so much better produced all-round.
Why do the BBC want to destroy the very professional partnerships, when it’s they who bring out the best in the celebrities. The judges should also take into consideration the effort put in by the professionals and nototbeso sensitive by professional comments
If James and Ola are axed I won’t be tuning in. ‘If the chain isn’t broken don’t fix it!’
** I mean’t chair sorry – typo
I am horrified that James & Ola have been axed !
They are possibly the best professional dancers & as a couple are a delight.
James has personality & just as the judges are allowed to be critical of both professionals & celebrities, they should be able to take criticism themselves !!!
Stop acting like precious prima donnas judges !!!
If you cant take it, then dont dish it out !!!
Previously Brendan was the “bad boy” this time it was James. I thought that it was part of the production and part of the fun. How can the BBC be so crass as to axe the Jordans from the tour like this? Your production team should stop getting “rent-a-crowd” in the audience. Their shouting, clapping, cheering and booing are unnecessary and detract from the spectical that we are watching I agree with Neil (December 15 2011).
