In last night’s Strictly Come Dancing 2012 debut, we of course saw the celebs being partnered with the pro-dancers, and Jerry Hall was teamed up with SCD veteran Anton du Beke…

However, it seems he’s “furious” at the show’s bosses decision to pair him with Jerry, because he says she’s “high maintenance.”

And despite his happy grin on the show last night, and insider has told TV Biz, “Anton was livid.

“He hoped he’d get someone like Victoria Pendleton who viewers would love.

“He feared Jerry would be another high-maintenance star who the public would end up not liking.”

And Anton was reportedly equally as furious over judge Craig Revel Horwood saying, “[Jerry] was hoping for someone tall, dark and handsome — and ended up with Anton.”

The paper adds, “Anton has had the more eccentric partners for the last two years — first, outspoken MP Ann Widdecombe, then feisty Nancy Dell’Olio. He described Nancy’s dancing as ‘s***’.”

Earlier this week, 56 year old Jerry admitted that her children doubted she was up to taking part in the show.

She said, “When I told my daughters I was doing it they said, ‘Mom, aren’t you kind of lazy?’.”
