Actor Colin Salmon has proved that he’s one of the most dedicated Strictly Come Dancing contestants to date by flying his pro-dance partner Kristina Rihanoff out to Canada so that they can continue to rehearse.

The move came after Colin had to jet off to Canada at the last minute to film for his forthcoming new TV series ‘Arrow’ which is to air on Sky1 later this year.

A show insider said, “The Strictly stars often have to travel around with their celebrity partners but jetting off to Vancouver is quite unusual.

“But Colin had no choice as he had some scenes to shoot that couldn’t be delayed.

“He figured he could balance both shows but now he’s bricking it that he won’t get enough practice…

“They only managed to squeeze in a few minutes when they first got there.”

A film crew has reportedly tagged along to films the pair as they try to fit in some training around Colin’s filming schedule.

Last night Colin tweeted, “Kristina has just left the set of Arrow. We had fun and got some great footage.

“Looking forward to getting down to serious training tomorrow.”

But of course, they aren’t the show’s only jet setters as judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli fly back and forth between London and Los Angeles every week because they are of course also judges on US talent show, Dancing with the Stars.

And though their fellow judge, newbie Darcey Bussell, doesn’t jet around the world, she does shimmy around her kitchen – often apparently.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Darcey revealed that she “itches” to join in the dancing that she’s judging on the show.

She said, “Being on Strictly is fun. I have always been a great fan of dancing.

“I feel totally different if I have had a little dance, even in the kitchen!”

Yeah, me too…
