Craig Revel Horwood has admitted that he could see Dani harmer making it as far as the Strictly Come Dancing final.
The Tracey Beaker star has been improving week on week and when she and Vincent Simon danced the quickstep in Wembley, to upbeat track ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ by Diana Ross the judges were so impressed that they awarded her a score of 36 and placed her in second place in the leader board.
Explaining why he was so enthusiastic about her routine, Craig said tonight:
“She was flightly, fantastic and she is so precise with everything. That’s what I love about her. I just adored the routine.”
“I really loved it and her and Vincent make such a sweet, gorgeous, honest little couple. You totally believe they have been dancing for years together.”
Zoe Ball asked the choreographer if he could see Dani making it as far as the final next month and he confessed:
“I think so, I didn’t have as high an opinion of her early on but she’s been growing on me.”
One person Craig doesn’t think will make it that far is Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton.
She and Brendan Cole performed a Paso Doble to ‘Bicycle Race’ by Queen and found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard with just 24 points.
Bruno Tonioli criticised Vic’s shaping, Darcey thought she was overwhelmed by the space and Len Godomand thought the ‘jumpy things’ were very repetitive.
Speaking on It Takes Two Craig explained what went wrong saying:
“She was keeping her stern face, she was acing it well, she just wasn’t getting that Spanish flavour with the arms.”
“The arm shaping is so important, because you don’t have that many steps to do. It’s all attitude and it’s all about the shaping.”
