Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Did Darcey Bussell’s use of the word “Yah” drive you nuts?!

It seems that new Strictly Come Dancing judge Darcey Bussell is irritating the bejesus out of some viewers with her frequent use of the word “Yah.”

She has of course now featured on two live shows, and while some fans put down her recidivist Yah-ing to nerves on the first night, it appears that by the end of last night’s show, not many were willing to listen to it much longer!

For instance, Darcey told Nicky Byrne, “Your strength is obviously your musicality so you can use that to your ability, yah.

“Breathe with the moves, yah, so feel the music. Make it help you, yah, because that’s your strength.”

Viewers soon bombarded social networking sites to moan about Darcey with one Twitter user writing, “I’m wondering how many yaaaahs you will get from Darcey!”

And comedienne Katy Brand added, “Love Darcey’s glacial ‘yah’ after each put down.

“Like the Gordon Ramsay ‘yess?’ but more genteel.”

The Sun adds, “Others compared her with the grating PR chief played by Jessica Hynes in BBC Olympics comedy Twenty Twelve.”

Hannah Rochell said, “I love Darcey but she sounds like Jessica Hynes, ‘Yeah? OK? Yes?’

However, Friday’s show certainly wasn’t affected in terms of viewer ratings, given that it landed 8.6million viewers, which is 200,000 more than last year’s debut live show drew.

But just how long can everyone put up with the Yah? Is it driving you nuts? And what do you think of her as a judge in general?
