Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Jerry Hall wants to “fly” like Ann Widdecombe & Aliona Vilani will be back in two weeks

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Jerry Hall has revealed that she’d like to emulate former contestant Ann Widdecombe who “soared across the dance floor” when she took part in 2010.

And of course, Jerry is partnered by pro-dancer Anton du Beke, who was paired with Ann, so he is ideally placed to recreate the move.

A show source said, “Jerry has told producers she wants to fly as she think it’s just the kind of flamboyant act that will help raise her profile.

“Like Ann, she knows she’s not the greatest dancer but she’s game for anything.”

The Sun adds, “Ann’s flight saw her strapped to a harness and lowered to meet Anton for a tango…

“The move went down well with the judges who gave her a decent 21 points.”

Meanwhile, in other Strictly news, injured professional dancer Aliona Vilani has revealed that she can dance again in a fortnight.

Aliona suffered a fracture to her ankle during training with Johnny Ball, so dancer Iveta Lukosiute became her stand in for the first live shows.

Speaking on Twitter, Aliona said, “The doctor said I’ll be able to go back to boogying in two weeks.”

Vilani of course won last year’s contest with McFly star Harry Judd.
