Len Goodman revealed that he was a huge fan of Dani Harmer’s dance fusion routine on Saturday but thinks she had an easier job than some of the other celebrities.
The Tracey Beaker star and her professional partner Vincent Simone performed a Quickstep and a Charleston for the Strictly Come Dancing quarterfinals and the judges raved about the performance, giving her a 9,10,9,10 – 38 and putting her just behind Kimberley Walsh on the leader board.
On It Takes Two last night head judge Len explained what he liked about the routine and what could have been better and said:
“I enjoyed the quickstep a little bit more than I did the Charleston bit. I thought the Charleston was sometimes a little bit confined. It wasn’t full of razzmatazz but the mix was very good and I felt that Vincent, last week with his Viennese Waltz that was clever and again on Saturday I thought it was really clever again.”
However he thought that the pair had an easier job than some of the other couples and added:
“It was a little bit easier than some though, because both dances are from the 20’s. You see Charleston in the normal quickstep anyway, so it was a little easier to fuse.”
Dani and Vincent survived Sunday’s elimination and will get to perform twice on this Saturday’s semi final. One of their routines will be an Argentine Tango, the other an American Smooth and Dani tweeted:
“Off to panto rehearsals this morning!! Then off to see papa smurf for the Argentine tango! Can not wait xxx”
She said yesterday:
“Well that was a long but very very fun day!! American smooth sorted! Tomorrow Argentine tango! No pressure lol xxx”
Vincent sounds like he’s struggling a little and wrote:
“Still choreographing the 2 dances, feel a bit sick!!! Think I’ve got PMT !!! X”
“I’ve got too many ideas, need a woman to dance with. It takes two to tango!!! Tried next door, my neighbour is sleeping xxx”
