Dancing the Cha Cha Cha for her first appearance on Strictly Come Dancing this year, Lisa Riley and Robin Windsor and Robin’s hilariously camp diamante vest were perhaps the most lively act of the evening.

The former Emmerdale actress even managed to slap her arse in front of notoriously grumpy Craig Revel Horwood. Which he seemed to enjoy. The pair finished off the very entertaining routine with Lisa giving Robin a lift! Best moment of the night. A really great, fun routine and a potentially brilliant comedy couple.

• Len Goodman: You’re a funky monkey, I’m telling you. You’re like a fizzy bottle of cola. What it lacked in technique it made up for in energy and enthusiasm.
• Bruno Tonioli: Lisa, that was big, grand exuberant entertainment. I’ve never seen people so happy. I love you!
• Craig Revel Horwood: Three words darling: you can dance. [Lisa storms the stage and kisses him]
• Darcey Bussell: I love someone who can take risks. That was a great and amazing end. You’re going to be a joy to watch on this show.
