As if Louis Smith wasn’t sexy enough, he’s planning to bring even more heat to the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor this weekend.

The Olympic medal winning gymnast is making the most of his upper body strength and supreme flexibility and attempting some of the moves performed in hit movie Dirty Dancing during his routine for Saturday night’s show.

Louis will perform a salsa with his partner Flavia Cacace on the third live instalment of the series and has been practicing the iconic Dirty Dancing lift all week.

However insiders have reported that it’s going far from smoothly and just as Baby and Johnny struggled to perfect the lift when they first started rehearsing, insiders say Smith and Cacace have run into their own difficulties as he tries to balance her above his head.

A show insider told The Sun:

“Louis and Flavia were practising the lift and because Louis is quite tall and the studio ceiling is low, Flavia managed to put her foot through it.

“Louis hadn’t even seen Dirty Dancing before this week. Now he’s saying he is having far from the time of his life because the lift is so risky. They have no idea whether they will pull it off.”

We know what they need to do! Find the nearest river and practice in it….it might be cold but it worked for Johnny and Baby!

If Louis doesn’t dazzle us with his moves, he will impress us with his pecs it seems and the hunk is reportedly planning to do a Harry Judd and dance without his shirt on Saturday (though we’re pretty sure he said he would never do that just a few short weeks ago).

A source told The Daily Star:

“Louis has been training with his shirt off.

“Flavia is thinking that maybe if he stays topless on the show, he’s sure to pick up some extra votes – and judge Darcey Bussell won’t know what to do with herself!”

The remaining thirteen contestants will all perform this Saturday night, in the special Hollywood themed episode.

The dance routines include salsas, rumbas, cha-chas, quicksteps, Charlestons and even a tango.

One star will follow Johnny Ball off the series, during Sunday’s results show and after seeing these pictures, we’re just hoping and praying it isn’t Lou Lou!
