Fans of Strictly Come Dancing contestant Louis Smith may be pleased to hear that the Olympian has announced that he’s single and ready to mingle!

23 year old Louis of course made his SCD debut last night, and in today’s Daily Star Sunday, he explained that although he wants to be in a relationship, he’s somewhat wary of love since his former girlfriend left him heartbroken.

He said, “When I was 22 I got my heart broken. I’m a very emotional person.

“The ex is old news. I’m here to find fun – and maybe a new lady! That would be nice.”

Louis went on to say that he’s hoping his pro-dance partner Flavia Cacace will be strict with him during training…

At least, that’s what we assume he meant when he said, “She’s going to have to be very hands-on.”

Ooh, matron.

However, in another interview with omg! hunky Louis said that he won’t be getting his top off during this year’s Strictly, despite the fact he has a ripped body!

He said, “No I don’t think I’d do it topless because some of the girl dancers have got better abs than I have so I’ll keep that hidden up.”

Omg! went on to ask Louis if he thinks his gymnastic skills are going to come in handy on the dance floor, to which he replied, “Probably not…

“It’s a dancing show so I’m going to keep the tricks in the bag and try and impress everyone with some dancing skills.”

As to how he feels about wearing spangly and sequined outfits, Louis said, “I don’t mind the skimpy outfits. I think they’ve got something planned later on for me.

“We went to a fitting ahead of the show and they’ve got some funky stuff in there.”

Finally, when asked if he was still going to be doing any gymnastic training alongside his dance rehearsals, Louis said he wasn’t adding, “It’d be impossible to keep training I’d literally break in half.

“Just training for the group dance, my bum cheeks, my legs…

“I’m aching so much and if I was trying to combine that with the gym…”

He left the sentence open, but for now, I’m simply going to dwell on watching him bum cheeks, so if you’ll excuse me…
