Strictly Come Dancing 2012: ‘New’ Louis Smith brings ‘scary tricks’ to The Charleston
The Olymmpic medal winning gymnast has used his skills to pep up some of his routines previously, including adding the splits and backflips into previous dances and it seems he has some more tricks up his sleeve this evening.
Louis and his partner Flavia Cacace will take on The Charleston and speaking on It Takes Two, Smith admitted that he would be spicing things up with a few ‘dangerous’ moves. He said:
“The Charleston is an exciting type of dance so I think it is the perfect opportunity for me to incorporate more of me and my personality. There will be some flicks and tricks.”
Flavia revealed that she is a little worried about he will carry out the tricks though and added:
“There are a couple of tricks that are very scary for me. One in particular is where Louis comes in to do a flip, I think I must be totally insane, but it just goes to show how much we want to stay in the competition, we will try anything to stay in.”
Louis took to Twitter a few minutes ago and promised fans that he will be showing a new side to himself this evening.
The judges have criticised him for not giving his all to his performances previously and told him he needs to step it up if he wants to make the final. He tweeted tonight saying:
“Not long now till the show thank for my good luck messages.. Really hope you enjoy the charleston and the new lou hahahah”
“Good luck to us all tonight, hope you enjoy the show. Scary times but we will be strong and give it our all for you. X”
