Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Nicky Byrne is ‘worried’ about Argentine Tango

Nicky Byrne has admitted that he is very worried about performing on tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing show.

The former Westlife star won high praise from the panel last week, when he surprised them with a very polished routine having been in the bottom two the week before.

He was tipped as a ‘dark horse’ of the competition and is hoping that he can make it to the last few weeks of the series this month. However, first he has to get through tonight’s performance.

He and professional partner Karen will take on an Argentine Tango on this evening’s show and speaking on It Takes Two, Nicky admitted:

“I am worried about the Argentine Tango.”

He added:

“It’s a seductive, domineering male character. Very suave, very sexy, I think I can do that.”

We think he can too….sure hasn’t he been doing it for years!

His partner revealed that as well as trying to be technically good on the BBC show, they will be trying to tell a story and bring some emotion to the show. She explained:

“It is an extremely passionate and seductive dance. It’s filled with character and every step has an emotion, every step has a meaning.”

Nicky is currently rising up the bookies favourites list but he has yet to come near the top three, Denise Van Outen, Louis Smith and Dani Harmer.

That could all change tonight though. Leave your comments below….
