Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Ola Jordan wants to be a judge on this year’s show
Professional dancer Ola Jordan, who of course won the 2009 edition of Strictly Come Dancing with her celeb partner Chris Hollins, has revealed that she’d love to be a judge on this year’s show.
During an interview with the Daily Express, she said, “Who wouldn’t want to be a judge?”
She added, “I’d love to, but I think the new line-up has to be people you don’t expect to
be there.
“I don’t think they should have [former judge] Arlene Phillips coming back or have [former winner] Kara Tointon.”
Ola also somewhat controversially reckons that resident judges Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli should be ditched by the BBC in favour of bringing in “fresh blood…”
I’m sure there would be blood around if the corporation did, but I’m not sure how fresh it would be!
However, she said, “There should be new fresh blood and they should change all the judges, to be honest.
“They change the dancers so why not the judges?”
Well, why not indeed, or would you prefer to keep the judging format as it is right now with the addition of a newbie this year to replace Alesha Dixon, who of course moved to Britain’s Got Talent?
And just apropos of new Strictly judges, in addition to the aforementioned Arlene and Kara, it’s been rumoured that ballet dancer Darcy Bussell and comedienne Miranda Hart are also in the running for the spot of fourth judge.
